IRT, a leading media literacy organization, is currently seeking a select number of teachers to provide valuable feedback on a cutting-edge, comprehensive sexual education program for high school students.
Developed by an extensive team of researchers, graphic designers, and programmers, Media Aware aims to harness the power of technology to create an engaging and informative sexual health program for students. Through self-paced, web-based lessons covering topics from media influence to pregnancy to substance use, the Media Aware curriculum seeks to promote healthy relationships and prevent risky behaviors in high school students.
There are still a few spots available in the study for high school teachers! Your feedback is invaluable in making sure that MediaAware is an effective resource for high school students. For your participation, you will receive various resources for your classroom including free access to Media Aware and monetary compensation. You can find more information at http://mediaawareprograms.com/join-study/.
The development of comprehensive sexual education resources like MediaAware is critical in making sure that teens have the skills needed to navigate topics like sexual health and consent in an environment that is increasingly saturated with messages about sexuality and risky behaviors. You could play a role in ensuring that not just your students but high school students everywhere have access to the tools they need to make healthy decisions in their lives.
