Media Literacy goes to Massachusetts Senate floor with financial literacy bill2018-03-21T19:09:29+00:00

Media Literacy language has been attached to an omnibus financial literacy bill that is on it’s way to the Senate floor Thursday. Tamara Sobel, our chapter leader in Massachusetts, has been working hard at the State House, meeting with legislators to educate them about the value of Media Literacy throughout the curriculum.  As a result the bill, S.2343, would require the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to develop standards for personal financial literacy education that includes evaluating media content.
