We’re putting media literacy on the public policy agenda in Arizona

Please welcome Mark Bordine to the Media Literacy Now circle of state leaders. Mark Bordine is a photographer, digital filmmaker and educator. His photographs have been published in calendars and magazines and his travel documentaries have appeared on PBS stations across the country. He has taught in the areas of photography, cinema and visual communication at the college level and in public workshops, and he is a member of NAMLE.

“For more than a decade now my main areas of interest and concentration have been in media persuasion, decoding media messages, the political economy of media and media effects,” Bordine says. “My goal is to help people of all ages and backgrounds develop critical thinking skills that can be applied to the use of media. Please feel free to contact me to find out how you can help promote media literacy education in Arizona schools.”

You can reach him via email at mbordine@medialiteracynow.org. The Arizona page can be found on the website.
